Rural villages of Tolmin area Čard and Šoroko.
On this trip we will take you very high to visit two hard-to-reach villages, but worth every turn, Čadrg and Široko. The Soča Valley is our home and that is why we pay special attention to it. We know her hidden corners and all her beauties. We will take you to a village where we meet barefoot children running across vast meadows and where nature is respected and valued as the greatest treasure that humanity possesses. Both villages belong to the municipality of Tolmin, but they are each on their own hill.

Program
Čadrg
The climb to the village of Čadrg begins with crossing the Devil's Bridge, which lies above the beautiful Tolmin Gorge. Crossing the bridge already indicates that this trip will be a real adventure. The path carved into the rocks above the steep precipice was once wide only for a small car, but today the locals say it has become a real highway, but, believe me, this is far from the case. Čadrg is truly an example of an authentic Slovenian alpine village. The whole village is engaged in ecological animal husbandry and agriculture, so they renamed it an eco village. Due to the steep slopes, the tools they use to cultivate the land and meadows are still the ones used by their ancestors. Farmers take cow's milk to a common cheese dairy in the middle of the village, where they make cheese and ripen it. When ready, they divide it among themselves according to the amount of milk that individuals have contributed. You will try their cheese, homemade spirit, meat products and other products. Friendly looks, sincere handshakes, hospitality and authentic experiences are the feelings with which you will return from the mountains to the valley.
Tolminski Lom-Široko
The way to Tolminski Lom, to the village of Široko, passes through the village of Most na Soči, an idyllic location that we can't miss. Get your cameras ready to take with you these inconceivable color contrasts created by the lake and the surrounding greenery. A steep path leads us to the village of Široko, but even this time, when we reach our destination, the views pay off all our patience. The farm at the hill always has its doors open to visitors. Everyone can take an active part and try the farm work. You will have work around cows, pigs, chickens, rabbits and goats. The owner of the farm is also an excellent cook and all the dishes he prepares are made from ingredients grown at the farm. Get ready for rustic plates of fantastic flavors.
